Historical & Theological - Call for Papers

Wednesday, September 28th, 2022

In light of the recent pandemic, this conference intends to focus on the great pandemics and upheavals of the past and their impact on the societies of their time – pandemics, plagues, famines, from the time of Late Antiquity, to the Middle Ages, to Modernity. We are, therefore, especially interested in submissions from graduate students, lecturers, and professors of history and theology on this topic of pandemic and upheaval though any historical theological topic is applicable and we encourage anyone in this field to submit a proposal.

Please send proposal submissions to either Lucian Turcescu, lucian.turcescu@concordia.ca, Richard Bernier, richard.bernier@concordia.ca, or Jean-Michel Roessli, jean-michel.roessli@concordia.ca.

For students whose presentations were accepted  there may be an invitation to submit their papers after the conference to the editorial of Bishop Street: Graduate Journal of Theological Studies at bishopstreetconcordia@gmail.com. The deadline for submission is October 1st 2022. The selected papers will be reviewed, edited and published in a special issue of the Journal covering Theology in the City 2022.
